Ephesians 4:28 Ministries is honored to be working toward a new Christian residential transition program for men coming out of prison and it will be named Micah's House. We chose this name because we will help these men rebuild their new lives in society by guiding them through the precepts of Micah 6:8: To act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with their (our!) God.
We have several years of experience working in this particular area of need, but we also know that this alone will not be enough to make this project work. It will require sustainable fundraising, finding the right housing property to utilize, and satisfying all zoning regulations. We will need committed men and women of God to work with us as volunteers. We must structure fruitful working relationships with both local and statewide organizations (legal and ministerial). We will have to establish board and liability insurance plus commercial automobile insurance. And this only scratches the surface in describing all of the work in front of us. The truth is that this is an "8 day a week job" that carries a lot of pain with it because our clientele already comes to us with a history of problems, and every case will not be a successful one, but it also comes with the reward of knowing that we are serving God by helping those who apply themselves to our program.
We are working diligently toward bringing Micah's House into reality and we are prepared to move forward
