My name is John Eddings. I am honored to be the Founder and President of Ephesians 4:28 Ministries, Inc. My wife Helen and I work side by side in this ministry as we work together to help others.
We founded and direct a program for women serving life and lengthy sentences at Homestead Correctional Institution in Florida City, Florida called Women with Dignity.
We are also working to establish a new Christian residential transition program for men returning to society following incarceration called Micah's House.
Previously, we established and ran a good program called Love-Ops that worked with the families of prisoners, and were blessed with a nice coffee shop to hold our regular meetings in. Then, the COVID situation hit the world, and it got put on a long-term hold. However, we have begun supportive discussions with one of our pastors about restarting this much needed program.
It has been my long-held dream to someday establish a home for troubled-yet-gifted children named Roseland, and this beloved vision remains one of our long-term goals.
In addition to our work on behalf of Ephesians 4:28 Ministries, we both serve as Board Members and Assistant Directors of the Dr. Regina B. Shearn Corrections Transition Program (CTP) at Everglades Correctional Institution in Miami, Florida. This program works specifically with men in the Florida Department of Corrections who are being considered for release on parole. In Florida, there are essentially three basic sentencing guidelines for criminal convictions, and one of these is the traditional parole system.
I am likewise honored to work at Everglades Correctional Institution as a Case Manager for the Jack Brewer Foundation's Faith & Fatherhood Program.
